About us

I put the precious heart into the Tatami.

I want to be a tatami maker who conveys the heart layered on tatami mats.

Alone in the workshop, I sometimes think about...
What is the role of a tatami maker?

Does this mean that they simply quietly create the tatami product and deliver it to customers?

We receive the materials from the creators, give them form, and deliver them to the customers.

What kind of materials will I receive and how will I convey them to customers?
In other words, depending on my hands, the materials can be brought out to their fullest or not.

"Igusa grass" may simply be a material.

However, there is certainly a passion, aesthetic sense, respect and sense of danger...
It means that it's imbued with mixed emotions from the creators.
I believe that the role of a tatami maker is to put those hearts into the tatami and convey it.

I want to be such a tatami maker.

Igusa grass is beautiful, sometimes powerful, and vibrant, also it adds a touch of savor to your life.

And then, it is also "Igusa grass" that connects the hearts of the creators.

We put the precious hearts into the Tatami.
